Hello There, So I am writing this blog after really long period of time. I hope you all are enjoying life and missed me a bit.
So, I am thinking of maintaining a series of blogs regarding to the places i visit and share my experience with you all people out there. Let's Begin.
Indore
Every Year I get a chance to travel to somewhere in India because of my Father's Conference. This time it was Indore. First thought after knowing the location was "Indore mai kya hai" (What is in Indore?). So, I was not much excited about this trip. All bookings and reservations were done and eventually forgotten till the dates came closer.
First Day:
Took the cab to airport, boarded the flight to Indore. Basically we had a connecting flight through Kolkata and we would reach Indore within 5-6 hours from Bhubaneswar. Meanwhile, flight timing changed due to OPERATIONAL REASONS. Now, we have to waiting in Kolkata for 6 hours. Painful as it sounds.
Anyways, we arrived at Indore at 9:41 pm instead of 4:50 pm. We were exhausted and waited to go to hotel as soon as possible. By 11 pm we were at the hotel named HR Green. We had dinner over there and went to say goodbye to an exhausting day.

Second Day:
My Dad has a habit of waking up really early like 4 am and doesn't care about other people sleeping. Being the victim, I woke up and got freshen up. First day at the conference is crucial because of the registration and stuff. I had breakfast and didn't knew i would be eating the same thing for next 3-4 days as breakfast. See the photo below to see what's it is. Most of the day went in that conference by eating whatever you want and surfing 100+ MBps internet. That's GODSPEED!!! I didn't knew what to do so i basically Uninstalled and Installed PUBG twice. Returned to Hotel and another day ended
.

Third Day:
Already impressed by Indore cleanliness and systematic lifestyle. Today, I wanted to explore Indore as much as possible. Spend half of the day at conference and decided to spend other half exploring some places. Rented an Ola Cab and made a checklist. I basically did some research and made a list of the places to visit.
- Rajwada Palace
- Lal Bagh Palace
- Sish Mandir
- Central Museum
- Any major shopping mall
Rajwada Palace

Went with high expectation but it was under renovation.
Lal Bagh Palace
This palace is located not much far from Rajwada Palace. So, this is the modern kind of palace where you see some really good art, photos, furniture, dining halls, bedrooms and dead animals showpieces. Much more details about the palace
Had a bad experience over here, the person giving parking ticket said we have to give 20 Rs but our rented Ola left that place and still we have to pay for the parking.
And an important thing to say, you are not allowed to take your mobile phones with you.
Sish Mandir

Sish Mandir a.k.a Glass Temple is located in the center of the city close to other palaces and in-between market. Just like other sightseeing places in Indore, no mobile phones are allowed inside the monuments. Still, it is a Jain Temple and entirely made from glass and mirror. It was worth visiting.
Central Museum

I was not impressed from this Museum because it was not poorly maintained and kind of boring. Maybe, It would be interesting for historians. So, we have plans to visit some more museums but later cancelled it.
Some Malls

Visiting malls was a better idea as you there were many branded shops and a nice crowd.
Fourth Day:
So, having visiting all the sightseeing places. Today was a major day because we will be visiting the local market. The Taxiwala suggest to visit the market near Rajwada Palace and we went there. Local market was nice and cheap but the main attraction over there was Sarafa Bazaar which is long stretch of street with only food stalls. There was so many things to eat and it was near about 11:00pm. The vibe which you get from the crowd doesn't make you feel that it's 11:00pm.
Fifth Day:
It was the last day in Indore and we spend our entire day in the Conference. Today we have to shift to another and oh boy! what a hotel we shifted to. The hotel name is The Golden Gate Hotel which is situated in city center and what an ambiance!!!

After 5 days of ultimate fun, the trip came to an end. We have an early morning flight at 4 o'clock. The sky in Indore feels different and the sunrise was so beautiful.

Conclusion:
Indore is a really beautiful place but its kind of hidden and not much people think of visiting Indore. But, I was really amazed by it's beauty and how clean this place is. The palaces have nice rule of No Photographs which is a nice way to attract tourist. And, The Indori Poha which i had every morning felt more delicious every day. Indore is not an overpopulated city and people don't wear helmet. Indore has ranked the cleanest city in India while it well deserved. I would be definitely visiting, if i ever get a chance again. You will be remembered, Indore.
